This weekend, Seven Keys Lodge is proud to welcome acclaimed singer-songwriter Bernie Nelson to the stage with Mark Powell for an unforgettable evening of songs, stories, laughter, and the kind of music that reminds you why country songwriting matters.
Bernie Nelson has spent decades writing songs that have found their way into the hearts of country music fans across the country. His work includes the #1 hit “Daddy Never Was the Cadillac Kind,” made famous by Confederate Railroad, along with songs recorded by artists such as Conway Twitty, Kenny Chesney, Wynonna, Trace Adkins, Ricky Van Shelton, Collin Raye, Chris LeDoux, John Anderson, and more.
This is the kind of show where you don’t just hear the song — you hear the story behind it.
Sharing the stage with Bernie will be Mark Powell, making this a special weekend for fans of authentic songwriting, Texas country, and the kind of music that carries a little dust, a little truth, and a whole lot of heart. Mark and Bernie have also written together on Mark’s newest album, Altitude, including “I Know a Guy,” “Pulled A Lot of Strings,” and “Hung Over.”
